Pharmacy services

Inpatient pharmacy

United Hospital's Inpatient Pharmacy employs 45 pharmacists and 45 support personnel. They work closely with physicians and nurses to give hospital patients the medication they need when they need it.

• Our pharmacists routinely respond to medical emergencies and provide services like intravenous nutrition monitoring, pharmacokinetics and staff education. They also research ways to improve drug therapy and make it more cost-effective.
• Our technical staff uses advanced, computerized systems to effectively distribute medication.
