River Falls Area Hospital celebrates groundbreaking for surgical expansion project

RIVER FALLS, Wis. 03/20/2007--

River Falls Area Hospital recently broke ground on a new 4,300 square-foot surgery addition. The building project also includes a 1,500 square-foot renovation of the existing surgery area and a 2,600 square-foot renovation of the old out-patient clinic space. 

The $3.1 million project will double the size of the current surgical area, adding two more operating rooms and two endoscope suites for diagnostic screening such as  colonoscopies and upper gastrointestinal scopes.

The new operating room addition will be adjacent to the current hospital surgical area. This new surgical expansion will position River Falls Area Hospital to meet the increased demand for surgical services in the area , expand the hospital's capabilities and provide a more comfortable environment for patients.
