Programs and Services

Abbott Northwestern's Vascular Center - Offers treatment for a wide range of conditions that result from impaired blood flow in the arteries, veins and lymph system.

Cardiovascular MRI - Provides a detailed look at the heart and blood vessels that helps diagnose a wide range of conditions.

Consultative Cardiology Outreach Program - Brings cardiologists and diagnostic testing to clinic sites throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

Heart Failure - Offers innovative and specialized approaches to slow or stop the progression of congestive heart failure and to improve a patient’s quality of life.

Heart Rhythm Management Program - A full range of diagnostic and treatment services for people with congenital or acquired heart rhythm problems.

HeartScan Minnesota - This service uses Advanced Computed Tomography (CT) to spot tiny deposits of calcium in the heart and coronary arteries. These bits of hardened plaque, which narrow the heart's arteries, are an early warning sign of coronary heart disease.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center - Nationally recognized subspecialists provide diagnosis and treatment for thickening of the heart muscle wall.

Interventional Cardiology Program - Specialized techniques, such as angioplasty and stent implantation to improve blood flow in the cardiac arteries and to treat other abnormalities.

Level 1 Heart Attack Program - A unique program for certain patients who are experiencing a heart attack that ensures safe and efficient transport and treatment.

OPTIMIST Program - New approaches to improve quality of life for patients who are unable to undergo (or do not respond to) traditional treatments for heart disease.

Pacemaker and ICD Followup Program - Regular follow-up for patients who have pacemakers and ICDs.

Preventive Cardiology Program - Screening and risk reduction techniques to help families, adults and children reduce the risk of heart disease.

Surgical Services - Specialists in the surgical treatment of diseases of the chest and vascular system are known for the variety and complexity of procedures they perform every day.

Transplant Services - Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the needs of the body. If your heart failure symptoms and heart function cannot be improved by medications or surgery, you may benefit from a heart transplant.

Women's Cardiovascular Clinic - Heart disease is not limited to men. One out of every two women will die from heart disease. Our Women’s Cardiovascular Clinic tailors cardiovascular care to fit the specific needs of women. You need to know that most heart disease is preventable, and we strive to help you do what you can to avoid it.
